ABOUT
Your story matters — you can be recovered!
I’m Rebecca Papprill-Toms, a Certified Eating Disorder Recovery Coach through the Carolyn Costin Institute. I’m deeply passionate about raising awareness and improving support for people with eating disorders. I even led a petition that secured over $3 million in government funding to improve care in New Zealand’s public health system.
I know, from both lived experience and supporting a loved one, just how overwhelming and exhausting an eating disorder can be. But I also know that you can fully recover. You can make peace with food, movement, and your body, and I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.

The fight for better eating disorder care in New Zealand
The government’s recent updates on its strategy to address eating disorders, as outlined in the Beehive article 'Refreshed Eating Disorder Strategy' announced during Awareness Week, have sparked a mixture of hope and frustration in me.
